A short hair cut by Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova provoked a reaction from the fans after they published pictures of the new style on her official Facebook page.
Remained the three-time Grand Slam winner is a blonde, but most of their previous long hair is now over and the new hair style ends just below the ears.
"So, what do you think? I love kind of it!" she wrote on Facebook.
Some fans were less than complimentary about the new look.
"I'm shocked! It is too short!" Singapore Fan commented Keith Chern Sharapova's Facebook page.
"They have become very different, interesting, but I liked you better with long hair!" Fan said the Russian Kseniya Maksimenko.
"It's perfect for you," said Keita Sugihara from Japan.
Sharapova new hairstyle even attracted several offers of marriage, but she is committed to Slovenian basketball player Sasha Vujacic.
In 2012, Sharapova reached the final of the Australian Open, losing to Victoria Azarenka from Belarus player 6-3, 6-0, and lost in the final at Indian Wells and Miami tournaments. She is playing the number 2 in the world rankings and is authorized to Russia at the Olympic Games in London.
